Hello all! we are finally settled in our new home here in Newport, Oregon!! It (only) took us 5 days...and what an adventure it was along the way, our journey in the Coast Guard has taken us from NC to GA ... and now through 13 more states to our home for at least the next 4 years....all the way across the United States! I will admit that the U.S. has a lot of beautiful places, and i am so thankful that i was able to see just some of them. So far life in Newport is really nice...other than missing our family.. :(
The town is small, located between the ocean and mountains...so its really windy and usually really foggy. So far everyone is really nice, and can drive unlike the people in Savannah, GA- HA! Not too much sweet tea here which is a bummer considering we "are" from the south...
The house is more than i could have asked for. Finally we have our own place that isn't connected to anyone elses..its so awesome!! The guys and their families here have put in a lot of work to get it ready for us, which we are so grateful for!
Things are finally settling down after the unpacking and Will starts work tomorrow...so we are all anxious to see how that goes. Keep your fingers crossed....
Other than that things are great! A new start, a new city, new friends....and old ones ;)
Were just learning about this blog thing so, i might be slow to start, but we will keep everyone updated as to how we are!!
Until then, we love and miss everyone!!
