Just wanted to update !
Today Clay is 9 months old! Man it went fast huh?
He had his well baby check today, hes developing on schedule and is ahead of the game with teeth. She said normally babies will have about 3 teeth but he has 6 and the 7th one coming in ! Ha! So, thats cool ;)
He gained 2 lbs!! Hes 19 lbs 10 ozs!
Hes in the 75th-90th percentile for height and is still holding steady around the 50th percentile for weight.
His murmur is still super loud, which i knew since i can feel it through his chest lol. We have to go back for another well baby in 3 months and then his heart specialist appt around june.
The doctor also spotted something small today with his eye. She noticed that the light is reflecting off his eyes in different places, not matching, which means that one eye is slightly pointing in a different direction. She said theres a 90% chance its fine but in the untreated 10% it can cause issues. From what i understand, when the brain sees two different pictures it has to ignore one, when that happens the eye thats always being ignored starts to get weaker and loose sight , and thats how people develop a weak/lazy eye.
So, she put in a referral for Clay to be seen by a opthamologist in portland... no one closer can do it... so... we are waiting to make another specialist appt 3 hours away.
She said if it is what she thinks then they could either treat it with baby glasses or an eye patch for a while until it strengthens up.
It really is always something with this kid lol...
So thats all for now, just waiting to do that.
